Timelines
Collaborative photo album from kindergarten life
Timelines is a dedicated mobile app that enables kindergarten teachers to create and share digital photo albums of daily activities with parents.

Process
The project began with extensive user research, including interviews with teachers and parents. During development, we worked closely with kindergartens that used the app daily, allowing us to gather real-time feedback and continuously improve the user experience. The focus was on creating a simple, intuitive, and accessible interface for all users.
Outcome
The app has achieved significant success, with over 10,000 active users every month and 400 kindergartens using it regularly. It has become an essential tool for many kindergartens, seamlessly connecting educators and parents.
The application development process
Over the years, we have identified a need to use photos in the physical dimension, not just in the app, and we created a process for printing a photo album from the existing albums from the app.

The application development process
This led to the construction of a dedicated landing page and social media aimed at speaking to a new target audience - families and couples who travel abroad and are interested in easily printing an album.

Plans for the future
Our vision is to expand the app’s audience, reach more kindergartens and travelers, and enhance the existing features to meet the evolving needs of users.
We aim to establish Timelines as a leading platform in digital communication between kindergartens and parents, and also for printing albums.

Challenge
One of the main challenges we faced was addressing parents’ frequent complaints about kindergarten photos taking up too much storage space on their phones. Additionally, there was a clear need to allow parents to view only photos of their own child, ensuring privacy and convenience. The challenge was to design a solution that balanced both the technical and emotional needs of parents and teachers.
