OH-HI!

OH-HI is a human-first networking platform that reimagines how professionals connect. Designed for businesses, event organizers, and community managers, it transforms awkward networking into seamless, meaningful interactions. Through smart matching and inclusive experiences, OH-HI helps people connect authentically—before, during, and after events.

Challenge

Traditional networking events are often inefficient, uncomfortable, and result in poor engagement and retention. OH-HI aimed to address these issues by creating a tool that enables meaningful connections and provides hosts with actionable insights on engagement and participation.

Process

I defined a visual identity that reflects warmth, inclusivity, and professionalism. The focus was on building an MVP that delivers the most essential features required for effective networking — such as smart matching and engagement tracking — while laying the groundwork for future expansion. The user experience was designed to be intuitive and goal-oriented. In future versions, additional features will be added based on real-world feedback and evolving needs.

Outcome

The result is a clean, scalable MVP that enhances networking for users and event organizers. The design is tailored for two distinct user types — attendees and community manager— with separate user flows and interfaces optimized for each. The platform is also fully responsive, ensuring a seamless experience on both desktop and mobile devices. OH-HI provides immediate value while creating a solid foundation for growth, feature enhancement, and continuous improvement.

The application development process

The platform was built with modularity and flexibility in mind, focusing first on core functionalities essential for validating the concept. Future development will expand the tool’s capabilities as we learn from user feedback and market demand.
